It lets you put together any sort of photo montage you wish, or even create your own illustration. It works well for graphic design, too, if you're the right kind of designer. With it, you can export and print high-quality image files from your hard drive. It's also a tremendous asset if you need to produce finished products for your web site or e-mail. Learn more about Strip Graphics Workflow Strip graphics is a section of Photoshop used for background removal. While it’s not the most time-consuming task, it can take several hours for someone new to the subject. When you open a JPEG image for editing, it will have graphics in the background. When you go to a different section of the image, the image will have background graphics that you must remove. To change Photoshop’s behavior when you encounter a background graphic in a JPEG image, go to the Control Panel, select the menu File→Place Profile (or click the File menu and select Place Profile from the menu). When the Options dialog box opens, make sure the Background Removal section is selected. Click the plus sign to add a new profile. When a profile has been added, click What's New in the? The Weekly Blog All the Week's Politics at Once! It's all there this week. First, and don't worry, this isn't a promo for The Weekly Blog. While we try to keep politics out of the news, it inevitably shows up in some form in the news. And with this week's conclave of the Democrats in Vegas, it's especially at hand. But that's not what I'd like to talk about. I'd like to talk about the Republican Primary. And that's not going to be easy, I know. The internal power struggle has no end in sight. It is impossible to predict what the next move will be, and everyone's watching. Now, Newt Gingrich has the most to lose. His campaign was clearly in trouble, and Newt stepped in to resurrect it. His effort is even now being quietly shopped around, which means one of the more discreet, less likely candidates may be going for the prize. Tim Pawlenty is one name that keeps coming up, as has been pointed out here. His efforts are covered at the Flosses' Dawgs Den. But again, that isn't what I want to talk about. I want to talk about a piece I read in The Atlantic on the Republican Party. I have a new-found respect for the Republicans. For me, the primary has been all about the Democrats. The candidates left over from the Bush years. The guys who can't get coverage on the air. The ones we're supposed to forget. And for all the crap we give them for it (myself included), I thought the Republicans had a pretty good shot at winning some major elections. I thought the Senatorial contest was going to be competitive, and I was wrong. Their losses were mostly unsurprising, and that should make the surviving candidates even bolder. But there's a lesson to be learned here. The Democrats gained all sorts of support for their candidates because the Republicans chose such flawed candidates. The Republicans, on the other hand, ran poor candidates against mediocre or more popular Democrats. It worked because they had the most momentum. Just think what the Republican Congress would be like if the Tea Party had an off-year and they ran a high profile candidate. Then what? The potential for the Republicans is endless. Not just in sports. On the downside, right now the Tea Partiers are likely to vote for us.
